Military Moms Speak about War

Listen to or download "Military Moms Speak about War"

Military moms speak about their experiences with their sons in the U.S. military:
Susan Childs speaks about her son, James, who enlisted for the GI Bill. He was stop lossed and, today, after his discharge, works 12 hour shifts to support his family.

Nancy Nygard's son, Joe enlisted in order to make a career in law enforcement. He, too, was stop lossed, then later extended even further.

Rachel Normandy's son, Ryan was badly injured in an explosion in his tank in Baghdad. Today he suffers learning challenges due to traumatic brain injury but is determined to attend college.

Anna Berlinrut's son is a Marine who has served four terms in Iraq. Anna comes from a family with a long history of military service; she is eloquent about how the U.S. military is breaking from the current wars.
