Asma Eschen spent three weeks planting hundreds of trees in Afghanistan and will talk about that project as well as her impressions of the country today.

Rahima Haya works with women, particularly widows in Kabul, and her specialty is literacy and self-empowerment.

Both Asma and Rahima have lived in the U.S. for more than two decades and both returned to their native land after 2003. They devote their lives to improving the situation for Afghans, particularly women.
